How to prevent the main shaft from breaking in the cone crusher?

Cone crushers are widely used in mining, metallurgy, chemical industry, coal and other industries. During its working process, the main shaft fracture is a common fault, which will seriously affect the normal operation of the crusher. Therefore, effective measures should be taken to avoid this failure.


There are three reasons for the cone crusher main shaft to break:

1. Due to the unique working characteristics of the crusher, it is subjected to frequent mechanical impacts for a long time, causing fatigue damage to the main shaft.


2. Excessive feeding causes overload operation of the equipment.


3. During the mining and transportation process of ore, some waste metal objects are often mixed with them. When these objects pass through the electromagnet installed on the upper end of the tape, due to the weak adsorption capacity of the electromagnet and the metallic properties of manganese-containing steel materials, the electromagnet cannot remove them. , causing these materials to be mixed in the ore and mud and enter the crusher, causing frequent iron passes, causing frequent impacts on the main shaft and other components. Fatigue damage to the spindle is the main cause of spindle fracture.


Precaution

1. When on-site maintenance personnel perform maintenance operations, they should recycle the replaced waste parts and place them in designated locations. It is strictly prohibited to randomly discard all types of metal waste into the ore.


2. When the maintenance personnel of the mineral processing workshop are not ready for maintenance, they must strictly abide by the operating procedures and avoid leaving maintenance tools and debris in the equipment.


3. Through procurement and relying on its own technical strength, update or transform existing metal detectors to improve the ability of metal detectors to detect and eliminate metals.


4. Operators who guard the feeding tape of the crusher should strengthen their sense of responsibility, increase their inspection of materials, and pick out foreign objects in time if they find them.


5. Crusher operators should conduct inspections on equipment in a timely manner, and handle and report any abnormal conditions such as current and sound in a timely manner to prevent the accident from expanding.


6. Regularly use ultrasonic and other instruments to conduct flaw detection on the spindle and other stressed components to understand the actual condition of the current equipment.


7. Strengthen the training of operators in each section, strive to improve the actual operating level of operators, strengthen equipment maintenance, and ensure that major and medium repairs of equipment are in place in a timely manner to ensure that the equipment is in good technical condition.


8. For spindles, bodies and other key equipment components that can affect the production of the entire system, purchase spare parts in stock to avoid the shutdown of the entire system in the event of special circumstances.
